Divemaster Course
Take the first step into your dive career and become a PADI Divemaster. Working closely with your PADI Instructor, you will expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. The PADI Divemaster course develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. To enroll in this course you must be at least 18 years old, a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, a PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) and an Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care Responder (with a course completion within the past 24 months). In addition, you must have at least 40 logged dives to begin the course and 60 logged dives before certification. All Divemaster candidates must submit an approved Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months indicating you are fit for diving. After completing the PADI Divemaster course, you qualify as a Certified Assistant to assist a PADI Instructor during the confined and open water training sessions of recreational courses. Moreover, you can supervise training and non-training activities by planning and organizing dives, conduct the PADI Skin Diver course, and the PADI Discover Snorkeling program. Divemaster – DSD Leader
Now that you are a PADI Divemaster, take the next step in your professional development. You already can supervise certified divers and assist with divers in training; but by becoming a DSD Leader you expand your opportunities for employment. This course focuses on the Discover Scuba Diver program. You will review the theory and standards of the program and conduct at least 4 actual DSD programs under the supervision of a PADI Instructor.
